Songs I played over and over that drove Debbie nuts

I played Surfer Girls by the Beach Boys and This Diamond Ring by Gary Lewis & the Playboys until finally one day, my sister Debbie said, “Stop playing these songs over and over and over and over…”. One day my Gary Lewis record broke. She sat on it “by accident”. I also listened to Reflections of my Life (The Marmalade) and The Bee Gees’ Spicks & Specks. I listened to lots of music. I had an AM radio glued to my ear by kindergarten. I liked C Sherry by the Four Seasons but do not recall owning it.

Listened in the bedroom near mom’s at end of hall. Shared with Deb. We broke a broom by putting it between the twin beds and trying circus walking.
Listened in the bedroom near mom’s at end of hall. Shared with Deb. We drew numbers on the door for the pretend elevator in the closet.
Listened in the middle bedroom. Deb and I passed notes through a hole we made in the closet.

I like so many Bee Gee songs I will have to create a category just for them: Words, I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You and New York Mining Disaster 1941.
