Melanie’s (Mel’s) Brownies

For every event that Melanie was invited to, the hope and expectation was that she would bring her famous brownies. Sadly, we lost Melanie this April (2020). All I know about the brownies is that she used 1/4 cup real almond extract. You may use the most inexpensive box mix. I use Costco’s Ghiradelli Triple Chocolate Brownie mix. I replaced some of the water with 1/4 c almond extract. These brownies are so good that they last 1 day whether you have a household of 1, 2,3 or more. I had to stop making them whenever I missed her — because that is every day. To you, Melanie, and all you have generously given to all who knew you.
